About CliniRoo

CliniRoo is an Australian medical education company. It builds preparation material for the assessments that decide whether a doctor or a medical student moves to the next stage: specialty selection interviews, medical school exams, and college examinations.

It is built for the Australian pathway specifically, and that is a harder claim than it sounds. Selection into Australian specialty training is not one process. Some colleges run a single national round. Some verify you centrally and then hand selection to a state network. In several specialties the college never selects anyone at all, and your employer does. In general practice, the largest entry cohort in the country, there is no interview whatsoever. Material written for one of those arrangements is wrong for the others.

What we are building

Specialty selection interviews

Station and question material for entry into specialty training, built per specialty, with the state layer only where a state genuinely runs its own process.

Medical school question banks

Preparation material tailored to each Australian medical school and stage of study.

College examinations

Question banks for both the written and clinical examinations required for each specialty college, starting with general practice and physicians, which together are more than half of every college exam sat in Australia.

Nothing is on sale yet. The site collects email addresses so we can tell people when there is something to use, and for nothing else.

How the material is put together

This is the part worth checking, and it is the reason the footer of every page says the material is referenced to the colleges' own criteria.

Every claim about the Australian pathway comes from a primary source: a college's own selection regulations, its published scoring criteria, an examination handbook, or a state recruitment campaign's own documentation. Not from summaries, not from other preparation companies, and not from the equivalent process in another country.

Every claim carries the intake year it applies to. Australian selection regulations are reissued annually and they change. Orthopaedic surgery moved the interview from 40% of the selection score for the 2025 intake to 60% for 2027, in the Australian Orthopaedic Association's own selection regulations. A figure without a year attached cannot be checked and is as likely to be out of date as current, so ours are dated and linked.

Where a college publishes nothing, we say so rather than filling the gap. Several colleges confirm the format of their interview without publishing a weighting or a station count. Others do not run selection at all, so there is nothing for them to publish. A guide that supplies a number where the college supplies none has invented it.

The material is reviewed every year, because the documents underneath it are replaced every year.

What CliniRoo is not

We are not a coaching business, and there is nothing to book. The material is written to be used when you need it and on your schedule.

Who is behind it

CliniRoo is developed by Dr Gethin Lewis, physician and former military medical officer, and Mr Alexander Trevatt, plastic surgeon. It is written and reviewed by doctors.

Every page cites what it was built from, so the work can be checked by anyone who wants to check it.
